Earthware vase

Earthenware Spiral Hand-built Vase. Measures approximately 15″ height X 10 ” width.  These vessels are made by pinching long thin strips of wet clay in spirals together to build the form. I think of the pieces as having two parts to the shape: the spine, which curves around the whole vessel and the form underneath. There is something extremely meditative about building these vessels.
